About the Role

Position Overview:
Arna Pharma is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving the company's growth through strategic global acquisitions, in-licensing agreements, and managing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Arna Pharma's expansion into new markets and therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities:

- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, licensing opportunities, and CDMO partnerships
aligned with Arna Pharma's strategic objectives.
- Lead negotiations and execute agreements for global acquisitions, in-licensing deals, and
collaborations with external partners.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies,
biotech firms, research institutions, and CDMOs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to assess market opportunities, conduct due
diligence, and drive decision-making processes.
- Manage the end-to-end business development process, from initial contact through contract execution
and implementation.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify new business
opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Drive commercialization strategies for acquired products and technologies, including market
assessments, pricing strategies, and launch planning.
- Represent Arna Pharma at industry conferences, networking events, and business meetings to
promote the company's capabilities and foster partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development roles within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully executing global acquisitions, in-licensing agreements, and CDMO partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build productive relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
